Two arrested on drug charges & alcohol offenses

A DCSO Sheriff's Deputy arrested two people on a traffic stop in the 2400 block of Hwy 71, south of Milford, on September 16 2011. The driver of the vehicle, Whitney N Eckhardt (24) of West Des Moines IA, was arrested and charged with OWI, Possession of a controlled substance – marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. A passenger, Justin W Gurney (28) of Dexter IA, exited the vehicle on his own accord and was arrested and charged with public intoxication, possession of a controlled substance – marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both were booked into the Dickinson County jail.
