2 arrested on drug charges

DCSO arrested Morris W Stofferan (50) and Brady J Griffin (37) both of Hartley IA on 7-4-2010. Morris Stofferan was driving a vehicle that was stopped by a Sheriff's Deputy in the 2600 block of M-56. Stofferan was found to have precription meds not prescribed to him on his person. Stofferan's passenger, Brady J Griffin, threw an object out of the window while the vehicle was stopped. The Sheriff's Deputy saw him throw the object. It was located by the Spirit Lake Police K-9 unit and found to be a pipe used for smoking marijuana. A rear seat passenger, Joseph Stofferan (47) of Sanborn Ia was cited for open container.

Morris Stofferan was booked into the Dickinson County jail for Possession of Prescription drugs.

Brady griffin was booked into the Dickinson County Jail for Possession of a controlled substance and Paraphernalia.

DCSO thanks the Spirit Lake Police K-9 Unit for their assistance on scene.

All persons are innocent until proven guilty
