Deputy Matt Grimmius joined the Sheriff's Office in July of 2007. Prior to that he was a patrolman for the Lake Park Police Department. He graduated from the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy in 2006 and received the Academic Award. Before attending the academy, Deputy Grimmius received his Associate of Science degree in Criminal Justice at Western Iowa Tech in Sioux City.
In his spare time, Grimmius enjoys hunting, fishing, exercise, and sports.
