Help Wanted: 911 Dispatcher

The Dickinson County Sheriff's Office is looking to hire a full time 911 Communications Dispatcher. This is a night position and must be able to work weekends and holidays.

Applicants must have above average communications skills and have the ability to multi-task and all applicants are subject to a background investigation. The Dickinson County Sheriff's Office offers excellent pay and benefits.

injury accident 6-10-13

DCSO investigated a single vehicle accident that occurred at approximately 10:17 on 6-10-2013 in the 2400 block of hwy 71, south of Milford.

Sandy Leu (17) of Milford IA was driving a 2008 Toyota southbound on Hwy 71 when she lost control and rolled the van.  Other occupants of the van fled the scene and were located later.  Leu was treated for non-incapacitating injuries and released on the scene.  Damage to the van was estimated at $10,000.
